Rules governing letters to the editor in the Fort Frances Times are:
All letters must be signed, and the name of the writer will be printed with all letters published.
The writer must submit his/her letter in person and satisfactory identify themselves, or submit a telephone number to be used to verify that the letter was actually written by the person whose name is included on it, delaying publication if necessary to make the verification.
Letter will not be accepted from people outside the local coverage area unless the letters are written on a topic of primarily local interest.
If a letter attacks another individual or group, the Times will allow a response in the same edition.

Dear editor: I wish to thank residents for being loyal supporters of the Salvation Army in Fort Frances and Rainy River District. Without their support, our ministry would not be possible. During the month of May, Salvation Army officers, employees, and volunteers will embark on an awareness and fundraising campaign […]
Dear editor: It has come to my attention that the Rainy River District Social Services Administration Board will, in the near future, become responsible for the administration of the district ambulance services. Frankly, we always have been more than satisfied with the services provided by the ambulance department of Riverside […]
Dear editor: The Legion Ladies Auxiliary Br. #29 held a tea and bake sale on May 13. As special guests, they invited the area war brides. It was very nice to see the other ladies who endured the war times. On behalf of the “war brides,” a thank you goes […]
