The writer must submit his/her letter in person and satisfactory identify themselves, or submit a telephone number to be used to verify that the letter was actually written by the person whose name is included on it, delaying publication if necessary to make the verification.

If a letter attacks another individual or group, the Times will allow a response in the same edition.

Dear Mr. Editor: Thank you for the opportunity to respond to the letter you received from the McMahon family with regard to their mother and an incident that took place at Rainycrest Long-Term Care Facility. Although we cannot comment on the details of the incident specifically, we do want to […]
Dear editor: Kudos to the Fort Frances Jr. Sabres for a valiant first-year effort. The team certainly improved and I know that next season will be even better. It was wonderful to have so many players assemble in our community from other provinces in the country. Thanks to all the […]
Dear editor: Every April during Daffodil Month, the Canadian Cancer Society relies on tens of thousands of volunteers to canvass their neighbourhoods to help raise money in the fight against cancer. To make this year’s door-to-door campaign a success, we’re challenging residents of Fort Frances and district to walk their […]
Dear Editor: I would like to commend the 13 players who were the Muskie girls’ hockey team that earned a second-place finish this season. These athletes rose above the controversy that surrounded them, and took pride in themselves, the team, school, and community. These ladies are the true spirit of […]

Dear editor: I have to say that your reporting on the “racist video” incident has been atrocious, and has done a great disservice to not only the six girls and their families but also to the community as a whole. •The Intent I am amazed how this video’s intent has […]
Dear editor: The mayor and council probably all agree Fort Frances is a great place to be and live. But my question is where are we going? I realize that we, and mayor/council, have many challenges every day and every month, as many things need to be fixed and issues […]
Dear editor: I am writing in response to the Jan. 30 article in the Fort Frances Times entitled “Ainsworth needs district’s help quickly: Hampton.” The article makes several inaccurate references to AbitibiBowater’s forest management and fibre procurement practices that I would like to clarify. I specifically would like to clarify […]
Dear editor: We have followed with interest the events that have transpired over the past couple of days. We own property in Fort Frances and pay school taxes, and feel strongly on the issue of bullying. We have witnessed cyberbullying throughout our school system and are pleased that the Lakehead […]
Dear editor: After attending the public meeting on Monday, Feb. 18, I am still opposed to the proposed abattoir site in Emo. Neither council nor the abattoir committee said anything to guarantee me that our fears about this abattoir will not be realized. The streets that the added traffic from […]
