Local participants in the Alzheimer Society’s sixth-annual “Ride for Memories” headed out Saturday morning from The Harbourage here. More than 140 motorcyclists from across the region met in Rainy River for lunch, then travelled to Dryden for supper while raising roughly $33,000 for the cause.
“Country Blend” performed to an appreciative audience at the Emo Legion on Friday evening. Money raised from the evening will go towards the construction of the Dance Fire Memorial, which will be located on Highway 613 in Dance at the original homestead of Frank LaBelle.
