It was a wet start for anglers competing in the annual “Castin’ for Cash” fishing tournament on Lake Despair this morning. The two-day event wraps up tomorrow, with the final weigh-in starting at 3:30 p.m.

Sheldon Kelly was all smiles as he trotted around on a horse during the Town of Fort Frances’ summer day camp at Joyce Young’s farm in Devlin yesterday. A group of nine children went up to the farm and participated in relay races while riding the horses.
Rylee Redford was part of the small but enthusiastic group of parents and children who attended the Emo Spray Park committee’s Canada Day “Splash Party” at the Lions Park there. The goal for next year is to make July 1, 2009 the grand opening of the new spray park.
