Canoes from the David Thompson Brigade made a grand arrival at Old Fort William Historical Park on Saturday to the rousing cheers from a very large crowd. After bringing their canoes ashore, members reminisced about the 63-day trip from Rocky Mountain House, Alta., with many commenting on the warm reception they received in the communities of Rainy River District.
