Michelle Allan, left, and Sheila McMahon, with the United Native Friendship Centre, accepted $8,000 from Mayor Roy Avis at last night’s council meeting—their share of the $54,000 in grant money the town got from the Moffat Family Fund this year. The money will be used for a music program for children and their families, through which they aim to increase self-esteem development, enhance creativity, and build additional skills.
