Chapple residents interested in the sites being considered for the proposed transformer station will be able to get some information next week.
Hydro One is planning to hold a public information centre at the Chapple recreation centre on Tuesday (Aug. 25) from 4-8 p.m.
The purpose of the meeting is to introduce residents to the project team, show them the preferred site, and get feedback from the public, said Hydro One spokesperson Daniele Gauvin.
“A map of all five sites we considered will be shared, together with a comparison chart noting how the proposed sites fared in terms of environmental considerations, socio-economic considerations, cost, and technical considerations,” Gauvin noted.
“Detailed analysis will be available, as well.
“The meeting will focus on the preferred site so that participants can review the preferred site and provide input on environmental, socio-economic, and other aspects,” she added.
