The Town of Fort Frances is advising the public that the Portage Avenue underpass will be completely shut down from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. today thorugh next Tuesday (Sept. 24-30).
Crews were scheduled today to pour concrete for retaining wall footings on the northeast side footing number one and southeast side footings two, four, and six.
Then tomorrow through Tuesday, they will be installing bottom row of soil anchors (seven anchors in total).
The closure is necessary for public safety.
