At the Sunday morning worship service, I noticed Dave and Eileen Erickson from Perham, Mn. While here, Dave started up his woodworking/carving hobby and proved to be quite the handyman at this craft, which is being carried on by others in the district.
Just because Dave left our area, it was not put to sleep but revived by Steve Latimer and his wife.

It was no surprise to see Arthur Solomonian and Dennis Kuzyk at Our Lady of the Way Church on Friday for the come-and-go luncheon in honour of Fr. James Panikulam.
I had worked with CN as a relief agent, relieving Art at Pinewood for his annual vacations and Dennis the signal maintenance man. Art later became clerk at the municipal office in Rainy River.
Those were the days when CN cut positions by the score (that is when I took an early pension).

Congratulations, Katherine!

DYS students are reminded not to forget to collect those tabs from juice and pop cans over the summer month as they are going to be used on costumes for next year’s play.
As well, the Grades 5-7 classes would like to thank Susie Sigurdson, April Cormack, Helen Allan, Karen Koomans, and Francis Grant for chaperoning their recent trip to the Kay-Nah-Chi-Wah-Nung Historical Centre (Manitou Mounds).
