Brody Strachan is having a season to remember in the WISSOTA Modifieds division.
And by the way it’s looking, a fourth-straight points title is almost a forgone conclusion for the Emo native.
Strachan cruised to his division-leading sixth feature win of the season in Borderland Racing Association action on Saturday night at the Emo Speedway.
He was followed by Andy Davey of Hibbing, Mn. and Brady Caul of Fort Frances in Saturday’s race.
Ron Korpi (Fort) was fourth while Brandon Pelepetz of Emo rounded out the top five.
Strachan’s win also widened his cushion in the points standings to 100 over Tyler Brown of Rainy River (1,061-961).
Pelepetz sits third (903), followed by Korpi (885) and Caul (817).
In WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds action, meanwhile, Tanner Williamson claimed his division-best fourth checkered flag of the season.
After not winning a race since June 29, the Fort native rolled into victory lane over the likes of Mike Wilson of Devlin and Cody Ossachuk of the Fort.
James Lambert (Fort) was fourth while Wyatt Boyum (International Falls) rounded out the top five.
Williamson’s win helped to vault him into fifth in the points standings with 730.
Ossachuk–the two-time defending champ–currently sits first with 999 points.
He’s followed by Lambert (972), Wilson (927), and Carter Kinnear of Emo (755).
And in the Street Stocks division, Raice Westover of the Fort nabbed his second-straight feature win.
He claimed the victory in Saturday night’s race over Kevin Desserre of Dryden and Jake Froemke of the Falls.
Jesse Thompson (Emo) was fourth followed by defending points champ Tylar Wilson (Fort).
Raice Westover’s win increased his points cushion to 79 over Thompson (1,036-957).
Jyllian Westover of the Fort currently sits third (916), followed by Wilson (899) and Dean Kellar of Devlin (834).
