The Emo Spray Park Committee is hosting a splash party at the Lion’s Park there on July 1 from 1-4 p.m.
There will be ice cream, freezies, and pop for sale.
Come out and celebrate Canada’s birthday by slipping and sliding down the giant waterslide.
Funds raised will go to help pay for the construction of the spray park in Emo.

This month’s men’s breakfast will be held on Saturday (June 21) at 8 a.m. at the Emo Legion. The cost is $10.
Guest speaker will be Keith Eichel of Dryden.
All are welcome, and bring a friend!

A few spaces are still available for the United Church of Canada’s summer camp, this year entitled “Walking in God’s Way, which runs July 7-11 at Sunny Cove.
Open to kids aged eight-14, the fee is $120 per child—up to a family maximum of $300. The “Sunshine Fund” is available for part or all of the registration cost.

The Chapple Heritage Committee is planning two new events for “Heritage Days” on Aug. 1-2 at the Both homestead north of Barwick.
If you have not joined them before, mark your calendar for this year. The committee is looking for interested folks for a plowing match, to go with the tractor pull.
All tractors must be antiques.
As well, the committee is looking for people interested in competing in a Swede saw event (wood-cutting and piling competition). All competitors need to have their own saw.

On the Friday night, the committee will host an evening of music. Watch for other events which will take place on the Saturday.

Just a reminder the Sturgeon Creek Alternative Program is holding a “Goods and Services Auction and Bake Sale” next Saturday (June 28) at Richard Veldhuisen’s shop on Emo Road (just north of the MTO).
Parking will be available at the Christian Reformed Church.
Viewing and registration will take place at 9 a.m., with the auction beginning at 10 a.m. A canteen will be available.
All proceeds will go towards the SCAP building campaign.
