March 20 is the first day of spring—and what better to shake off the winter “blahs” than on the dance floor?
A social to raise funds for the “Community Chest,” featuring live music by three local bands, is slated that night from 8:15 p.m.-1 a.m. at the Memorial Sports Centre auditorium.
These include the country bluegrass stylings of the “Mud Lake City Boys,” classic rock of “Centre-Line,” and modern rock of “Phoenix Project.”
Northwestern Ontario camp owners have donated five trips valued at more than $12,000 for the fundraiser, which will be auctioned off on eBay in conjunction with the social.

There also will be live and silent auctions on site, as well as door prizes.
Admission to this age-of-majority event is $15, with tickets now available at the Memorial Sports Centre, Fort Frances Chamber of Commerce, Betty’s, and Rainy River Future Development Corp. office or by calling 274-4095 and leaving a message.
