“I Love a Rainy Night” won’t be the anthem of choice for Borderland Racing Association organizers.
The Emo Speedway lay silent and saturated Saturday night as stock car racing was cancelled due to the wet weather.
That meant nothing changed when it came to the driver standings in all three divisions.
That was great news for Jamie Davis, who wasn’t scheduled to race Saturday because he had elected to try his hand at one of the U.S. tracks he has frequented this year.
Davis remains in first place in the WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds class with 501 points, with Cody Ossachuk a close second (498).
Jason Williamson sits in third place (456).
Brody Strachan remains atop the WISSOTA Modifieds division with 483 points, followed by Matt DePiero (465) and Davis (462).
Kevin Desserre of Dryden has the biggest edge of the three division leaders as his 387 points puts him 46 ahead of Tylar Wilson (341) while Jake Froemke of International Falls is a distant third (328).
Racing resumes this Saturday, with hot laps starting at 7 p.m. and the first race at 7:30 (weather permitting).
