Quiet on fire scene

No new fires were confirmed in the Northwest Region by yesterday afternoon.
The forest fire hazard is forecast to be “low” in the southwest sector of the region and “moderate-high” in the north and east ones.
Meanwhile, the out-of-province deployment of Ontario fire management personnel is coming to an end, with all resources scheduled to return home today.
At this time, there are no requests for more resources to assist the west.
Ontario continues to supply equipment, including fire hose, sprinkler kits, pumps, and chainsaws, to Alberta, B.C., Manitoba, and Saskatchewan.
