Madisyn DeGagne of Super 8 whacked a backhand rebound towards the net in a 7-1 win over the Thunder Bay Sabres here Saturday afternoon. Super 8 finished the girls’ hockey tournament with a 2-2 record and didn’t advance to the playoff round. But the other local team, the Lakewood Tire Eagles, captured the championship with a 3-0 win in yesterday’s final.
