Eighteen children, and 32 people altogether, were at the Fort Frances Public Library on Friday afternoon to try to help break the Guinness World Record for “Most Children Being Read to by An Adult, Multiple Locations.” The nationwide attempt was part of the build-up to Family Literacy Day (Jan. 27). While the final results haven’t been announced, almost 200,000 Canadians had signed up to beat the original record of 78,791, which was set by the U.S. Video footage of the event is available online at www.fortfrances.tv
