Diane Maxey, along with members from various congregations from the area, joined together Friday afternoon at the Church of the Holy Spirit here to participate in annual the World Day of Prayer Service. Observed in more than 170 countries, and 2,000 communities in Canada, the annual event sees people gather together for one service—with this year’s highlighting the plight of people from Chile. Prayers and funds raised will go towards social justice and women’s issues.
