Parishioners from various local churches gathered together Friday afternoon at the Fort Frances Covenant Church to celebrate the annual “World Day of Prayer.” Organized in Canada by the Women’s Inter-Church Council of Canada, the day sees Christians in more than 170 countries around the world gather at the same time to pray. This year, the services were done in solidarity with the women of the African country of Cameroon.
