The team of Shane Wepruk and Carlee Beazley got first-hand notice of the good news from weighmaster Pat Cross that their 3.52-pound catch was good enough to capture first place in this year’s Safeway Pro-Am Fishing Tournament yesterday at the Sorting Gap Marina. A total of 11 youth anglers signed up for the event, which kicked off activities for this week’s Fort Frances Canadian Bass Championship.
