Windows Alive: Haylee Foy

The Fort Frances Chamber of Commerce and Downtown BIA have been hard at work beautifying Scott Street business’ windows with vibrant art from local artists, calling the project “Windows Alive.”. The Chamber has also been posting the artwork on their Facebook page, along with some words from the artists themselves. Be sure to take a walk down Scott Street this summer to take in all of the local artwork on display.

“Haylee Foy of Building Better Mindsets, was asked to create a painting representing the seasons, and she said ‘my mind went straight to the medicine wheel.

Because everything I create is rooted in the art of healing, it felt like a natural connection.

To me, it reflects something we all move through in life… seasons.

There are times that feel heavy.

There are times that feel light.

Times of growth.

And times that ask us to slow down.

Everything moves.

Everything shifts.

And just like the seasons…

what feels like winter doesn’t last forever.

Spring always comes.’

Beautiful reflective piece to add to our Windows Alive project.

Thanks Haylee and Lidkea Optometry.”
