A handful of local residents with big, welcoming cheers met at the Fort Frances Tourism Information Centre on Friday to welcome U.S. tourists as they crossed the border before the Victoria Day long weekend. Friday marked the opening day of the tourism centre, the tourist sites here, as well as the Sorting Gap Marina for the summer season.
