Ronni Maynard, three, had fun playing with water squirters during the “Open Streets” event in Emo yesterday afternoon. The second-annual initiative, hosted by the Township of Emo and the Northwestern Health Unit, saw a portion of Front Street closed to traffic to allow pedestrians to run, play, walk and dance on the street. Activities included outdoor fitness classes, dancing, sidewalk chalk, bubbles, face painting, a flavoured water station, a dunk tank, a scavenger hunt, sidewalk sales, and more.
