The new sign welcoming shoppers to “The Great Canadian Main Street,” designed by Connie Cuthbertson and made by Burton Penner, was erected yesterday on the 100 block of Scott Street. The sign is only the first step in establishing a theme to better promote the downtown core. —Duane Hicks photo
