Aaron Meyers enjoyed a walleye dinner Friday during the 42nd-annual Manitou fish fry at the Rainy River First Nations’ pow-wow grounds. Despite the heat, more than 800 people from across the district came out to eat fried walleye, smoked sturgeon, fried potatoes, bannock, wild rice, coleslaw, and macaroni salad.
