A group set out on a two-km walk along the waterfront here Saturday as part of the Kenora/Rainy River Districts Alzheimer Society’s “Walk for Alzheimer’s.” The event, which used to be held in October, was changed to June this year. It also saw a new name (previously was the “Walk for Memories”) and a new start location at the Sorting Gap Marina. The change—and perhaps the weather—helped in bringing out a lot of participants. A second group simultaneously set out in the opposite direction to complete a 5K walk.
