J.W. Walker student Emily Bliss’ poster was the top pick from her school in this year’s Fort Frances Lions Club annual peace poster contest. On the back, the 11-year-old wrote: “ “We should all share peace. Peace to me is leaving war behind Nobody should ever have to flee their country because of war. If the whole world works together we can conquer anything, there are millions of people in this world we do anything. Peace to me is also being who you want to be.” Honourable mentions from Walker included Sammy Stone, Kenzie Begin, and Ava Dolyny. An appreciation night will be held Nov. 10 at the Legion.
