Alzheimer Society of Kenora/Rainy River client services co-ordinator Mary O’Connor and Elaine Allen hold up the Alzheimer Society logo just outside the Sorting Gap Marina during the annual Walk for Memories, which was held virtually on Sunday due to continuing COVID-19 restrictions. O’Connor visited each municipality in the district over the course of the day to encourage participants, take photographs and collect pledges. While the final pledge numbers are still being tallied, O’Connor said Sunday that they had already surpassed their $5,000 goal.
