Rainycrest Family Council member Norman Cain tried to place a table setting while wearing goggles, gloves, and headphones impairing his senses as Eleanor Barron, “First Link” and public education co-ordinator for the Alzheimer Society of Kenora-Rainy River Districts, looked on during a free virtual dementia tour yesterday at the Super 8 Motel here. The tour is a hands-on, experiential tool kit meant to convey to people the physical and mental challenges of those suffering from Alzheimer’s and other dementia. January is “Alzheimer Awareness Month.”
