Firefighters tackled a blaze in a cube van shortly after midnight yesterday. According to the OPP, officers were dispatched to the location of the fire on the 300 block of Second Street East. There were no fatalities related to the fire, but as a result of their investigation it was discovered that items had been stolen from the vehicle. The fire is being investigated as suspicious by the Rainy River District Crime Unit and the Office of the Fire Marshal. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or anonymously call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
