A second COVID vaccine clinic was underway this week, to administer the Moderna vaccine. As part of Ontario’s three-phase vaccine implementation plan, Riverside’s long-term care (LTC) residents who completed consents received their first dose of the Moderna vaccination in January. Over the past two days, residents at Rainycrest Long Term Care, Emo Health Centre, and Rainy River Health Centre began receiving second dose vaccinations.
Our consenting long-term care staff, essential caregivers and ‘highest priority health care workers’ as designated by provincial health guidelines, began receiving their first dose from March 2– 4 across the District. The clinic was run by Riverside staff. Clockwise from above, Rainycrest employee Callie Loveday, Rachel Dean, ICU nurse, and Rainycrest Health Care Aid Nora Plasky, all received their vaccinations. – Submitted photos
