Jr. Muskies Tyler Ruppenstein and Jordan McTavish leapt in an attempt to block a shot from a Miles Macdonnell Buckeye opponent in Saturday morning action a the Sturgeon Heights Huskies’ tournament. Fort High went 1-3 in the round robin, defeating Sturgeon Heights 2-0 (25-15 and 27-25), and then knocked off the No. 3-ranked John Taylor Pipers to earn a 2-1 (20-25, 26-24 and 15-12) to finish in seventh place. The senior boys were also in action at the Mennonite Brethren Hawks’ tournament. Fort High went 1-3 in group play, and then were bounced by host MBCI in two sets by scores of 25-14 and 25-18. The court teams are back in action tomorrow (Nov. 2) as the Kenora Broncos come to town in NorWOSSA play.
