Fr. Wayne McIntosh requested shelter for “Joseph” (Emma Smith) and “Mary” (Abby MacLam) as part of St. John’s Anglican Church’s annual “Las Posadas” celebration here Friday evening. Dressed up as shepherds, angels, and kings, the crowd that came out re-created the journey of Joseph and Mary from Nazareth to Bethlehem, searching for shelter at local downtown businesses but being turned away. The fourth-annual event—drawn from Mexican traditions—was followed by a fiesta at the church.
