JMX Contracting already is making good progress tearing down the Rainy Lake Hotel, with lower sections in the rear of the building levelled as of yesterday afternoon. The Causeway room on the east side—between the original hotel and Brockie’s—is next. The crew also was able to remove the mural of the Noden Causeway on the east side of the dining room, as well as the mural of the mill on north wall of the “Mill Room.” These will be shipped to Winnipeg to be cleaned and will be preserved here in future.
