Volunteer firefighter Mike Barlow grabbed a tree from in front of a Fifth Street East home during the Fort Frances Fire Brigade’s annual Christmas tree pick-up on Saturday afternoon. This might be the final year for the pick-up as fewer and fewer residents have real Christmas trees. The brigade instead may opt next year to have a central drop-off site for residents to bring their trees to for disposal.
