Métis-class

Duane Hicks

Marlene Nelson, left, and Dylinda George cut out the leather to make medicine bags during a Métis beading gathering yesterday at the Fort Frances Museum. The next gathering will be held there Sept. 14 from 1-3 p.m. Everyone is welcome to try their hand at beading or work on any other sewing projects they’re doing. The gatherings are a partnership of the Métis Nation of Ontario Health and Wellness Program, Gizhewaadiziwin Health Access Centre, and the museum.
