Instructor Robert Guertin demonstrated how to properly use a metal file to the group of kids who took part in Confederation College’s “Explore the Trades” camp held at Fort Frances High School last week. Participants were able to learn different manufacturing techniques to create a few different tools and baubles. Below left, Aiden Loerzel used a saw to cut the pieces that will be used for his peg game, while Kira Seguin, below right, used a metal file to take some of the edges off the board of her peg game. Camp participants also made filet hooks and metal dice keychains using different tools in the shop.
