Bridgette Thompson, left, and Darcy Banman showed off the first nearly full toy box set up for donations at The Bargain Shop here for its annual Christmas toy drive. From now until close to Christmas, the Scott Street store is asking customers to consider buying a toy and donating it to the drive, with the toys to be turned over to the local Salvation Army for its Christmas hamper program. The Bargain Shop also will hold a “Fill A Sleigh Day” on Saturday, Dec. 9, when 10 percent of the money from all toy sales that day will be donated to the Salvation Army in addition to any toys customers buy to donate.
