Tianna Velduisen, left, and Kayla Stang placed second and third in the annual Rainy River District Speech Contest yesterday evening at Robert Moore School for their speeches on “Being a Twin” and “Therapeutic Riding,” respectively. First place went to Sophie Potvin Begin for her speech, “Canadian Stereotypes” (she had left right after her speech and so was not present for the trophy presentation).
