Timeless tradition

A group of families whose cottages share a bay, got together to make light work of filling their communal ice shed. It’s a tradition they’ve been doing every year for decades. Using hand and power tools, the ice is cut into strips and blocks, and packed into the ice shed. A thick payer of sawdust insulates the ice, giving all the cabin owners access to ice throughout the summer.
