With the help of his fellow firefighters, Wayne Riches was lowered into a storm sewer opening during confined space rescue training here Thursday morning. Under the tutelage of Paul Cousineau of Abitibi-Consolidated, members of the Fort Frances Fire and Rescue Service learned how to use riggings and harnesses to safely and quickly lower themselves into tight spots such as this. —Duane Hicks photo
