Matt Mutz (#95) fended off Steve Nordin on the corner during WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds heats as part of “Fan Appreciation Day” at the Emo Speedway on Saturday. The final afternoon of racing capped the summer racing season with no points earned counting toward season totals. Greg Ferris of Finland took the WISSOTA Modifieds overall title with 649 points, followed by Bill Witherspoon (636) and Ron Korpi (614). Tridell Champlin of Deer River, Mn. claimed the WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds title with 670 points, with Chuck Lambert (643) and Dwayne Pihulak (639) rounding out the top three. And Scott Messner of Bemidji, Mn. repeated as Street Stocks champ with 668 points, followed by the father/daughter duo of Tylar and Libby Wilson (651). Richard Visser finished third overall with 624 points.
