Hailie Beasant of the Fort Frances Thunder carved her own path between Dryden Drillers defenders Aimee Warren (7) and Darbie Mattson (5) on this drive to the net during the second period of yesterday’s bronze-medal game in the Bantam division tournament put on by the Fort Frances Girls and Women’s Hockey Association at the Ice for Kids Arena yesterday. Mattson broke the Thunder’s hearts with a shorthanded goal with 1:45 left in regulation to give the Drillers a 2-1 victory. In the PeeWee division final yesterday, the Fort Frances Fusion lost 5-1 to the Lake of the Woods Thunder.
