Emo Renegades’ shortstop Erin Oltsher whistled this throw to first base while Fort Frances Her-icanes’ runner Jess Woodgate watched while advancing to third during the first inning of the Rainy River District Women’s Fastball League losers’ side final yesterday evening at VanJura. The ’Canes went on to a 12-4 win to oust the Renegades and qualify for the championship final against the Red Gut Babes, which begins tomorrow in Red Gut at 6 p.m. Should Fort Frances win, a second game will be required next Monday (Aug. 22) at VanJura to crown the league champs.
