Jillian Calder, left, a Grade 2 student at J.W. Walker School, and Isabelle Taylor, an SK student, demonstrated their environmental awareness this morning by wearing recycled bags as part of the school’s spirit day, “Thrifty Thursday.” Students were encouraged to dress in recycled clothing or costumes. Theme days have been occurring there all week, with children dressing in their best clothes tomorrow for “Fancy Friday.”
