With November being Woman Abuse Awareness and Prevention Month, Jacquee Loerzel of Riverside Community Counselling Services is inviting local businesses to participate in a contest by decorating their windows and stores in purple to support the campaign. Here, she invited Neila Booth of Northwoods Gallery & Gifts to take part again after that business won the prize last year. Judging will occur Nov. 14, which is “Wear Purple Day,” and a prize will be awarded. Sign up for the “Shine the Light” contest by calling 274-4807.
