It was a busy weekend at the Memorial Sports Complex. The Fort Frances Canadians U-13AA tournament saw the Dryden Paper Kings, International Falls PeeWees, Thunder Bay Elks 82’s and Neebing Hawks in town to fight it out. The final game of the round robin featured Fort Frances against Neebing in a battle for second place behind International Falls. The Canadians went down early 3-0 but the Canadians managed to come back and win 5-4 in over time. Canadians goals were scored by Andrew Booth 2G, Asher Faragher and Nash Dolyny with the OT winner coming from Mark Fitzgerald. The Canadians would unfortunately go on to lose the rematch against Neebing the next day in the semi finals but would went on to claim third place in the tournament.
