A group of volunteers fill sandbags at Shevlin Wood Yard, in an effort to mitigate damage from rising floodwaters. Although the lake is now rising at a slower pace, and a crest is coming into sight, there is still an urgent need for sandbags and volunteers, as rising water breaches existing barriers. There are sandbagging stations set up in Fort Frances, Couchiching First Nations and Watton Township. The Fort Frances site is located at the Shevlin Wood Yard, and is open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. – Allan Bradbury photo
