Trauma specialist Natalie Zlorde spoke to attendees from across the region yesterday during the National Victim of Crime Awareness Week 2012 conference at the Fort Frances Curling Club. The Rainy River District Victim Services Program hosted the two-day workshop, entitled “Responding Effectively to Acute Stress Reactions,” which wrapped up today. The workshop was facilitated by Zlorde, who is head of the Trauma and Resiliency Centre and associate director of training at the Gail Appel Institute, Hincks-Delcrest Centre, in Toronto.
