Wendy French, left, Manitoba provincial lead for Safe Communities Canada, chatted with Grace Silander, administrative co-ordinator of the Rainy River Valley Safety Coalition, at a strategic planning session yesterday at La Place Rendez-Vous, where 35 district representatives gathered to discuss priorities for the RRVSC. French noted Safe Communities Foundation founder Paul Kells has referred to Rainy River District as the “crown jewel of Canada’s international Safe Communities.”
