Monica Walsh of the Dryden B&B Blazers looked to blast a shot on the Fort Frances PeeWee Venom’s net during her team’s 3-2 loss in Sunday’s gold-medal game of the Fort Frances Girls’/Women’s Hockey Association’s PeeWee and Bantam Showcase at the Ice For Kids Arena. The Venom won all three of their games over the weekend while the Fort Frances Thunderbolts went winless in theirs. The L.O.W. K-Town Snipers (Kenora) claimed the Bantam title with a 5-1 triumph over the Fort Frances Borderland Blazers, who finished with a 1-2 record.
